Grass-Fed and Finished Beef
Raised on Pasture
Our beef move between pastures throughout the farm. They have access to fresh water (provided) and natural wind-barriers and shade elements.
grain-free
We do not feed out beef cattle grain. It is important to recognize that forage may contain elements of grain throughout its lifecycle, but we do not provide any grain to the beef-cattle.
No Vaccinations
Our beef cattle are not given vaccinations or hormone treatments. We do not believe, given the proper conditions, that such is necessary.
what variety of beef-Cattle do you raise?
For our Beef-Cattle, we raise Angus-Simmental. Our herd was purchased locally and new calves are born on farm.
how does the beef come packaged?
Grass Fed and Finished Beef from Little Way Farm and Homestead is processed at a State or USDA Inspected Facility. Beef cuts are packaged individually and cuts may vary depending on customer preferences for reserved shares.
how do i reserve a beef-share?

Please note that due to the high demand for Grass Fed and Grass Finished Beef, it is very difficult to maintain inventory in stock. We do try to maintain at least some retail cuts so that customers can try the beef before committing to a share.
How much beef should I expect in a share?
Our Grass-Fed and Grass-Finished Beef live weight is targeted at 1000 Pounds. We expect this to yield a hanging weight of approximately 650 Pounds. The final package weight, for shares, will vary based on size of cuts, time allowed for aging, moisture retention and more. Our share prices are based on the hanging weight.
