Description

Our Garlic is primarily a Music Variety. Garlic Bulbs are grown in Indiana at Little Way Farm and Homestead and are suitable for planting or culinary use each with approximately 5 – 8 Cloves.

No synthetic chemicals, herbicides, fungicides or any other chemicals utilized for growth. All of our garlic is hand harvested, hand planted and grown right here in Indiana.

Garlic is harvested in late June / July and can be used in a variety of applications. Each bulb is subject to a curing process to support improved storage quality.

Important Notes:
Garlic is an agricultural product which may be used in a variety of manners including planting, cooking and more. Due to its agricultural nature, it is subject to deterioration over time. The storage qualities of garlic are dependent on a variety of factors and cannot be guaranteed once they are shipped to the purchaser. For recommendations on garlic storage, please see our garlic Frequently Asked Questions. All garlic shipped from Little Way Farm and Homestead is cured prior to shipping. While we do inspect each garlic order prior to shipping, we cannot guarantee storage quality.

Planting Information:
If utilizing garlic for planting, note that the garlic grown at Little Way Farm and Homestead is a hardneck variety. This thrives in environments where a frost occurs. This is due to the need of the garlic plant to enter into a phase of dormancy and undergo a process known as vernalisation . This is what allows the garlic bulb to split into cloves.
